Normally when you set up WhatsApp on the same phone with the phone number that you use to register WhatsApp it will automatically detect the incoming text message and activate on that phone. I wonder if its something really obvious like needing to uninstall Whatsapp off my smartphone first, so it doesn't detect it as already logged in/paired with a phone?
